It was touch and go as to whether or not we would be able to go ahead with our ride day plans.  In the lead up to the day South East Queensland experienced heavy rainfall and storms.. not ideal weather for a round trip of South Stradbroke Island on a PWC!  Luckily for us by Sunday morning most of the rain had cleared leaving us with grey and dreary but almost dry weather conditions.  The arrival of 150 riders showed that rain or shine.. we were going to complete this ride!

Due to the bad weather and windy conditions we split the ride into two groups taking the beginners up inside the Broadwater to meet the off shore group  just inside Jumpinpin.  The beginners left first, ensuring there was little chop and that the ride was as smooth as possible.  One thing we couldn't control was a huge rain cloud we hit half way.  Despite the bad visibility and  wet conditions the group arrived at Jumpinpin just in time to see the other riders come through the bar, and the sun shone!!

Images-2As we merged the two groups it became clear that the rain cloud had traveled over South Stradbroke Island and hit the off shore group too.. there wasn't a dry rider in sight.  The energy that exhumed the group of riders created an awesome atmosphere and many stayed at the pin to take the opportunity to test ride some of the Sea-Doo models we had out on the water.   After some sun baking to dry off we ventured to Tipplers Cafe for a hot drink, some grub and to top it off a Christmas raffle of Sea-Doo goodies.

JSW Powersports would like to thank everyone who joined us, our team really enjoyed the day.... despite the unpredictable weather!  If any of you have any pictures you would like to share please do so by emailing them to
